Back to School Payment Scheme

The Back to School Payment helps families offset the beginning of school year expenses such as the cost of textbooks, stationery, school uniforms, excursions, and travel costs associated with school such as the Student ID cards. All Northern Territory students enrolled from preschool to Year 12 in Term 1, receive the payment.

Parents or guardians of students receive a voucher for each child through their school.  Parents or guardians of preschool students enrolled for the first time in a Northern Territory School in Term 2 or 3 are also entitled to receive the payment.
