Workwear Subsidy

The Workwear/Workgear bonus is a one-off grant from the Northern Territory Government to help apprentices and trainees with the costs of buying workwear, safety gear and other necessities during the first year. A grant of $300 is paid to eligible registered apprentices and trainees, and a grant of $1000 is paid to apprentices undertaking training in an identified Northern Territory skill shortage area.
